Yoga Practice:

Upward Facing Dog

Benefits:

 

Strengthens the muscles of the legs, back, and arms

Stretches the abdominal and chest muscles

Supports movement of the hips and spine

Instructions:

 

From Plank Pose, untuck your toes and press the tops of your feet on the floor one by one.

Lower the hips and continue to lift the chest forward and up.

Press the arms and hands into the floor.

Reach up through the top of the head.

To come out, bring the knees to the floor and find a comfortable seat.
