Standing Hip Openers
Benefits:
Lengthens and strengthens the muscles that surround the hips
Keeps the hip joint mobile
Standing Hip Circles
Instructions:
Stand with the feet wider than your hips.
Circle your hips forward, right, back and left.
Repeat as many times as feels comfortable.
Remember to reverse the direction.
Exhale to the other side.
Continue this rocking motion as many times as it feels comfortable.
Balancing Hip Circles
Instructions
Stand with your feet wider than your hips.
Take you arms out to a T shape.
Inhale and lift the right knee forward to 90 degrees.
Exhale and bring the knee out to the right side.
Inhale as you lower the leg.
Exhale the knee across the left leg as much as you comfortably can.
Inhale back to center.
Repeat as many times as feels comfortable.
Remember to reverse directions.
