
Yoga Warm-Up:
Lunge Flow
Benefits:
Strengthens and stretches the muscles surrounding the hips
Lengthens the hamstrings
Opens the chest
Strengthens the back muscles
Aligns breath with movement
Instructions:
Begin on all 4’s.
Step the right foot through the hands.
Move the left knee slightly back.
Inhale and shift the hips forward and down so that the knee moves toward the toes.
Exhale and shift the hips back lengthening the right leg as much as is possible for you.
Continue this movement flow as many times as feels comfortable.
To come out, bring the knee back over the ankle and come back to all 4’s.
Do the same of the opposite leg.
