Locust Pose

Benefits:

 

Strengthens the back muscles

Strengthens the neck muscles

Tones the abdominal muscles

Good preparation for deeper backbends

Instructions:

 

Begin lying on the abdomen.

The arms are stretched out along the sides of the body.

Legs are straight with the toes uncurled.

As you breath in press the palms and feet and lift the chest.

Exhale

Inhale and lift the legs.

Exhale

Inhale and reach the hands away from the floor.

Lower everything on an exhale.
