Kelitha Spence-Bisi

After graduating from the Yoga & Mindfulness Teacher Preparation Program, Kelitha has introduced yoga & mindfulness practices at all of her meetings in her role as a Special Education Administrator in NYC Department of Education.  Kelitha is a part of the Brooklyn North Borough Office, she currently supports schools in District 23, and assigned high schools in District 19 when it comes to all that concerns students with disabilities.  Kelitha is also one of the leads for Multi Teared Systems of Support in Brooklyn North and she has used Yoga and Mindfulness to address social emotional and behavior supports needed in Brooklyn North schools.


Kelitha has led meetings to support special education liaisons, school counselors, Principals, school communities, parents and has imbedded mindfulness, and breath practices in all the meetings.  Kelitha has also shared mindfulness and yoga practices with the communities and parents in several Brooklyn districts, and has taught YMTP² livestream sessions. Kelitha is eager to continue her growth towards supporting a more mindful city, and breathing into a brighter future for all students in the NYC Department of Education.
