YMTP² 95-Hour, School-Based Yoga & Mindfulness Teacher Training
Attendance Policy

As a participant of the YMTP² 95-Hour, School-Based Yoga & Mindfulness Teacher Training, you are expected to complete 95 hours of coursework for program certification. YMTP² is an experiential learning opportunity designed for live engagement and practice. This is a challenging program that involves commitment to our mission and goal of having a certified yoga and mindfulness teacher in each and every one of our schools by 2030.

To qualify for YMTP² 95 Hour program certification, participants are to be present at all 180 minute LIVE sessions Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays 4:00 P.M. EST - 7:00 P.M. EST and to participate in 15 hours of practice sessions. Zoom records the total number of minutes you are logged into the LIVE Sessions Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays 4:00 P.M. EST - 7:00 P.M. EST. Participants must be logged in for 150 minutes or more to be considered fully present at the LIVE Session. Participants who incur 3 absences or more from the 180 minute live sessions will be scheduled with the Co-directors to discuss further continuance in the program.

YMTP² understands that there are extenuating circumstances that lead to absence from LIVE sessions. If you are absent from a LIVE Session, please complete the attendance form prior to your absence if possible HERE.

- When participants are logged on for 30 minutes or less, it is considered a full absence for the entire session.
- When participants are logged on for 150 minutes or less, it is considered a partial absence.
- Please record all absences even partial attendance (even if you only attend for 35 min, 50min, 94 min, 110 min etc)
- A total of partial logins 180 minutes or more missed is equivalent to one absence.

An absence is when a participant does not log on to Zoom for the LIVE session (which are held on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays 4:00 P.M. EST - 7:00 P.M. EST). Also, any participant logged on for 30 minutes or less will be considered absent from the day’s LIVE Session. Each absence will result in the participant completing making up work. An absence due to religious observance is an excused absence. If a participant has more than 3 absences, they will meet with the Co-Directors to further discuss continuance in the program.

Program Certification Requirements:

For program certification, participants must complete all coursework as assigned.
- 80 Hours completed by attending all LIVE Sessions Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays 4:00 P.M. EST - 7:00 P.M. EST with no more than 2 absences and all sessions made up
- 15 Hours completed by participating in weekly yoga practice sessions
- Participation in Breakout Groups and Teach back experiences with camera on and leading practice in breakout groups
- Culminating Activity
- Practice Teach 1, Practice Teach 2, Practice Teach 3

Make Up Sessions Policy and Procedure:

YMTP² policy is that you complete the 95 hours of time required for certification. Participants are to make up sessions they are absent for in order to meet attendance criteria for certification. You will receive an email with details for make up session and link to the recording of the session(s) missed. Make up sessions are to be completed within the next week to stay up to date and current with the program curriculum and workload. If absences exceed more than three sessions, participants will be scheduled to further discuss continuance in the program with the Co-directors.

Please record all absences even partial attendance (even if you only attend for 35 min, 50min, 94 min, 110 min etc)
Attendance Tracking Form

YMTP² is an experiential learning opportunity designed for live engagement and practice. The LIVE recording is the lecture in the whole group setting, therefore you are to make up the session by completing all of the following:

1. View the recording of the LIVE session (this will be emailed to you)
2. Submit a written reflection in response to the recorded footage viewed answering all the following prompts completely:
- What did you enjoy about this sessions? What specifically was impactful to you? How do you foresee the inclusion of this practice/ these practices introduced to be a positive addition to your classroom culture/ routines?
- What potential challenges do you imagine might exist in the implementation of this practice?
- After leading this practice in your classroom/ school, what did you experience?3. Participate in one extra weekly yoga session for each absence.

Complete Make Up Session Reflection and Tracking Form

Partial Attendance Zoom records the total number of minutes you are logged into the Live Sessions Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays 4:00 P.M. EST - 7:00 P.M. EST. These sessions are 180 minutes long. A partial absence is when the participant is only logged in for part of the LIVE session. Participants may complete the Attendance Tracking Form and indicate their partial attendance.

Religious Observance

When a participant is absent due to a religious observance, is an excused absence and will not be recorded against them. Please complete the Absence Form and indicate R.O. for the dates of the holiday. Participants are to make up sessions missed by completing the 3 indicated make-ups steps listed above.

Weekly Yoga Practice Sessions

(Weeks are considered Monday-Sunday) Criteria for Certification includes participation in weekly yoga sessions totaling 15 hours of yoga practice. These sessions are to be completed on a regular basis, throughout the program. You are to complete the weekly yoga session attendance form by the following Monday for the week prior.

Participants who do not complete the required 15 hours of yoga practice sessions will speak with co-directors regarding their eligibility for certification.
