March 15, 2021

3:00-3:30 Institutional intros and invited guests

3:30-4:00 Centering, Facilitator Team Intros, Zoom Intro

4:00-4:30 Breakout Rooms: Participant Intros, Intentions, Concerns

4:30-5:00 Community Agreements

5:00-5:30 Practice

Facilitator Team Intros: I should be able to cue people up based on the participant list (on Zoom, as Heather suggested) please rename yourself with a # in front so we all stay filtered to the top and clearly identifiable). When the spotlight comes to you, please say your name, your school/role, and a hope you have for this program.

Breakout Rooms: Before we go in, I'll context the activity, which will have 30 minutes. The goal here is to get participants acquainted and in dialogue together, and for you to come out ready to report 1-2 primary intentions, and primary concerns present within your group. You can organize the time in the way that feels organic and effective, and below is a simple suggestion if helpful:

Three passes around the circle:

1) Everyone says their name and school/role

2) Everyone says a hope or intention they have for the program

3) Everyone says a concern they have as we begin

Then with remaining time open small group discussion

Community Agreements:

Upon coming back to the main room, each co-facilitator shares  1-2 primary intentions, and primary concerns present within your group to the group as a whole. Again, I should be able to cue you each and pass the spotlight. From this, we'll build community agreements. Here are the ones I'm starting with:

  • Confidentiality & Permission

  • All Voices Welcome & One Speaker

  • Speak Your Truth & Use I Statements

  • Make Space & Take Space

  • Choose Comfort & Choose Discomfort
